What came first, the hen or the egg?

How can you say that?
Do you have any proof?
And etc, etc. These have been all time hot topics.
Every human being from children to old people, everybody discusses or debates on this topic at least once in their life.

After researching on this topic for a while, I have gathered some information that it totally depends on your thinking that hen came first or egg because...
If you believe in Christianity or any other GOD as creator, the answer is 'hen came first.'
Like GOD created Adam and Eve, he also created other living creatures in pairs. So if you believe that, then hen came first.

If you believe in science of evolution (Darwin's theory of evolution), the answer is 'egg came first.' Like it has been found that apes are Human beings ancestors, it is possible that egg came from a bird due to mutation (or evolution) and when it hatched, came out a chicken. So egg came first.

Scientists concluded that the chicken came first not the egg because the protein which makes egg shells is only produced by hens.!!!!!
