Vin Diesel began his Acting Career due to Vandalism:

Vin Diesel was born in New York City. As a young boy, he was raised by stepfather, who was a theatre manager. At age seven, he appeared in the children's play Dinosaur Door as the result of him intending to vandalize the theater it was taking place in.

He, his brother, and their friends broke into the Theater for the New City to vandalize it, but were caught before they could do anything.
The theater's artistic director, Crystal Field, said she would not call the police if they took parts in the upcoming show.

Acting stuck with Diesel from that point on. He got into screen writing in college, and after one short film shown at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival, and later spending time working as a bouncer (where he got the name "Vin Diesel") he finally became the household name in acting he is today.
