"Calgary tops ranking of world's cleanest cities"

According to the consulting, outsourcing and investment firm Mercer, Calgary was ranked as the cleanest city in the world in 2011. They analysed data from 221 cities. Water quality and availability, air pollution, sewage system, and waste removal were some of the aspect taken into account.

The merit for Calgary of being ranked the cleanest city ...in the world is greater considering that Calgary is one of the fastest growing cities in Canada with a growth rate of 18 per thousand, and the province of Alberta leads Canada in per capita waste.

The modern and ebullient city of Calgary is doing it well to keep a clean look that matches the natural beauty of the surrounding Rocky Mountains.
