Smoking near Apple computers voids the warranty

There have been many cases of people who have taken their malfunctioning Apple computers to the company stores only to be turned away since Apple encountered evidence suggesting the machines had been exposed to second-hand smoke. That, despite the fact that the smoke wasn’t the cause of the problem, voided the warranty reason being, ‘health risks of second hand smoke’.
At least they care about your health! This clause takes many customers by surprise given that it isn’t contained in the Applecare warranty. Rather, it is working on something that has been exposed to nicotine – the addictive component of cigarettes – that is deemed a violation of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
