There's a Real Life Flinstones House:

The House of Stone is in the Fafe mountains of northern Portugal.
It's made out of 4 large boulders found on site. It includes a fireplace and a swimming pool carved out of one of the boulders. The two story house was built in 1974 as a family's personal retreat home. There are now so many tourists coming to see it that the family had to move for some peace and quiet.

There is a drawback to fame, though. Because it's so eye catching, it has been the target of robberies and vandalism. The owners installed bullet-proof windows and steel doors to keep the baddies away.

Would you like to live in this stone age home?
