Numerous Area 51 employees have broken their silence and spoken out about what goes on behind its perimeter fence.

In 1996, a 71-year-old mechanical engineer who worked at Area 51 during the 1950's, was interviewed for a documentary.

He claimed he had worked on a "flying disc simulator" which had been based on a crashed extraterrestrial craft and was used to train US Pilots in how to fly alien aircraft. He also claimed to have worked with an extraterrestrial being named J-Rod.
