Hasima the most densely populated place on earth

Since the 1930s, the Japanese island of Hasima was the most densely populated place on Earth. On an area with a coastline of about 1 kilometer there were more than 5,000 people. The island was populated from 1887 to 1974 as a coal mining facility.. However, by 1974, all the inhabitants of the island is abandoned . Hasima now - it's a ghost town with abandoned buildings and opened to tourists .
